Review Policy

I will always write/vlog my reviews in an honest and respectful way. I will NEVER attack an author personally, even for a book I didn’t enjoy.

Negative reviews are written in a critical, constructive, and with my honest opinion. Positive reviews are written with my honest opinion. I will NEVER talk up a book in order to keep an author or publisher happy. My opinions are my own, and honesty to my readers/viewers is the most important thing to me.

I will review:

• Fiction - both adult and YA

The genres I review include:

• Adventure/Action
• Contemporary
• Dystopia
• Fantasy
• Historical Fiction
• Mythology
• some Paranormal
• Post Apocalyptic
• Romance
• Retellings
• Science Fiction
• Steam Punk

I DO NOT review anything from the Horror genre.

My vlog reviews (which are uploaded to my Youtube channel every Monday) include:

• Brief synopsis
• Release date (if not already released)
• Title of book and author in description along with link for where to purchase
• My opinions on the world-building (when applicable), characters, and plot - all SPOILER FREE
• My overall star rating (1-5 stars)
• Who I would recommend the book for (i.e. fans of The Hunger Games, etc.)
• EXTRA: If I really ENJOY or really DISLIKE a book/series, there is a possibility it will get a separate Gush or Gripe video, wherein I discuss the books with spoilers and go into detail about what I liked or disliked. Typically speaking, only books with a 5 star rating will get a Gush and books with 2 stars or below will get a Gripe

My rating system: 

• 5 stars = LOVED IT! 
• 4 stars = REALLY liked it! (Although I had a few problems with it that kept me from giving it 5 stars) Would still highly recommend. 
• 3 stars = Liked it. I was neutral about it. The things I liked and disliked about it evened out.  
• 2 stars = Disliked it. There were more bad things than good things about the book. Would not recommend. 
• 1 stars = HATED IT! I could find nothing redeeming about the book. I rarely give a book a 1 star rating, because I typically do not finish books that would get this rating and I do not rate books that I do not finish.
